About Diane Damskey

Diane Damskey has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry across multiple disciplines, with particular expertise in sustainable and impact investing.

Diane provides strategic advice on the development and execution of sustainable and impact investing capabilities across asset classes. She has extensive experience advising global asset managers and asset owners on their sustainable and impact management practices and collaborates on annual reporting, disclosures, and impact reports. She also advises corporations on their sustainability practices and impact investing capabilities.

She is recognized for supporting the development of best practices in the impact investing industry, convening asset managers, asset owners, industry associations, and other stakeholders to discuss standards for impact reporting, regulatory reporting, impact indicators, and performance metrics.

Diane was a senior member of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) team that developed the Operating Principles for Impact Management (Impact Principles). Following the launch in April 2019, she established and headed the Secretariat of the Impact Principles, leading the engagement with asset managers, asset owners, wealth managers, family offices, and foundations.

Prior to her work with IFC, Diane was an Adviser to the Chief Financial Officer of the World Bank Group, where she led initiatives to promote private sector investment in emerging markets.

She joined the World Bank after more than 25 years of experience with private sector financial institutions. She began her career managing banking relationships with institutions in Africa, the Middle East and Europe, and also advised governments on their debt management programs and external debt restructurings.

Diane has held several senior roles with institutional and private client investment managers, including JPMorgan, UBS International Private Bank, Credit Suisse Asset Management, and Northern Trust. Diane holds a B.S. in Foreign Service, cum laude, from Georgetown University and an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a CFA charter holder.
